Kootenay Park Nursery is a family owned and ran business situated in the lush fertile hills of Neerim and is the answer to Frank and Andrea Schellekens passion for what they love to do – Propagating, growing and containerizing quality ornamental deciduous trees, with a specialty in growing weeping and standardized varieties along with contact growing of selected under stocks. 

Kootenay Park Nursery was established in autumn 2004, already began with over 22 years of Horticultural experience but after 30 + years, Frank and Andrea believe the learning experience is never is complete and strive to grow excellent quality, robust stock to the Nursery Industry and are always looking ahead to the future.

Kootenay  are proud members of Nursery and Garden Industry (NGIV) and Shrub Growers of Victoria, Kootenay supply to a range of retail, wholesale and containerized tree nurseries through to councils and landscapers. 

Most lines are propagated from scratch to finished product on the nursery, so quality and availability is controlled- resulting in trees grown in a way that the nursery is excited to be offering the Industry.

Currently Kootenay Park employ up to 20 casual and full time workers with key experienced staff producing root stocks and cuttings for the nurseries own use, with some selected lines available for sale, another 180,000 in ground trees and 30,000 containerized trees on two sites of 26 hectares and 20 hectares, with 2019 seeing the addition of another 20 hectares to be put under production.

Quality stock is available in bare root (late May to half August) and containers from 33cm to 60cm (all year)

Kootenay Park is certified to send stock to Tasmania, South Australia, NSW and A.C.T. and can either arrange delivery through your preferred green life transporter or directly by Kootenay Park.
